The John Fresolo Saga
Political Conspiracy Exposed Inside Massachusetts State House
Richard F. Wright

Synopsis

Author Richard F. Wright has uncovered the political conspiracy at the highest levels of state government that pressured State Representative John Fresolo to resign his seat amid a cloud of sexual innuendo and ethics violations.

For the first time since resigning in 2013, the truth is revealed how a naïve statehouse staffer, seeking promotion is manipulated into filing 13 unsubstantiated charges against the Representative in a kangaroo-court setting where the accused is not permitted to cross-examine state witnesses.

Wright’s two-year investigation shows that the evidence used in the ethics committee hearings was false, distorted, and unreliable. Witnesses were found to be lying under oath. At the point where the state’s case was collapsing, House Leadership conspired to blindside the Representative with materials, unrelated to the original allegations, not taken under oath or during the hearings, to blackmail him into resigning.

Wright is recently retired after a 40-year career providing political campaign management, public relations, and polling for Massachusetts candidates for school committee, city council, sheriff, clerk of courts, county commissioner, register of probate, state representative, state senator, mayor, congressman, governor's council, and governor.

Press Release for The John Fresolo Saga

The John Fresolo Saga Press Release

My latest book, The John Fresolo Saga, is now in the hands of reviewers in anticipation of publishing next month. This is my first book with a political angle and I'm sure it will be the most read of all my books so far. A few writers and reviewers have Advance Reader Copies of the book. We'll see if any of them like it or not.

New Book Exposes Conspiracy In Massachusetts State House Which Pressured Representative John Fresolo to Resign

Jefferson, Mass., (8-30-2019) - NEB Publishing today announced that Author Richard F. Wright has published his fourth book, The John Fresolo Saga, which exposes a conspiracy at the highest level of the Massachusetts State House to pressure the popular legislator to resign after 15 years as a State Representative.

According to Wright, who had a 40-year career as a political campaign advisor, pollster, and public relations spokesperson, Fresolo was the victim of a series of exaggerated allegations brought by a disgruntled staff person, which led to House Leadership manipulating the accuser into forcing an ethics committee investigation.

Wright’s two-year investigation into the facts behind the case reveals the shocking facts that led Fresolo to quit his position, despite the fact that the investigating committee had agreed to consider a negotiated settlement that exonerated Fresolo on most charges and sought only some minor consequences. Depositions, testimony, exhibits, and communications, never before revealed or seen, between House Leadership, the committee, and the accused were sources for Wright’s investigation.

After two years of interviews with those who were there, Wright has brought to light how the conspiracy spiraled up from a naïve, ambitious, House staff person seeking a transfer to another job, into a relentless pursuit of a non-conforming legislator being pressured to resign his seat.

Reading Books From My Library

Retirement Means Time to Read

Why Atheism?
As President of NEB Publishing, I am very busy writing, editing, and publishing books, such as The World's Seven Biggest Liars. But, in fact, I'm retired from the corporate world and have more time to read than ever before. I am averaging a book a week and I report on most of my reading each week on my other blog: Life in Jefferson.

Over many years I have collected thousands of books, which I keep in my personal library. I have read most of them but I do have a large "waiting" list to read. By the way, if you want to read any of the books I report on, let me know.

My current writing project is reaching the final edit stage. When I have a firm publishing date I will report that, but right now, it's hard to say when I'll finish.

The Country Bookseller Celebrates 25 Years

Shelf Awareness Comments on The Country Bookseller

I enjoy the updates that Shelf Awareness provides on the independent bookseller all across the country. Today's issue commented on the 25th Birthday Celebration of one of my favorite bookstores: The Country Bookseller in Wolfeboro, NH. We spend a week at nearby Laconia each summer and I'm always happy to stop into The Country Bookseller.
From: Shelf Awareness:
Congratulations to the Country Bookseller, Wolfeboro, N.H., which celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday. A message posted on the store's website said, "We know without a doubt, we couldn't have done it without you! From midnight Harry Potter releases to moving a whole store across town, you've been with us every step of the way. To our sales reps, our staff, our fellow businesses, and the community that has welcomed us with open arms THANK YOU!"
In addition, the Country Bookseller shared a staff favorites list, noting: "As hard as it was, we've compiled a list of our top 25 titles over the last 25 years. Stop by the store to chat with us about your favorites or find out more about ours! (Okay, there may be a few more than 25...)."
If you are near Wolfeboro this summer, be sure to stop in and congratulate The Country Bookseller for defying the odds and keeping the independent bookstore alive and well.

Use Amazon Author Page to Find My Books

Author Page of Richard F Wright
With the recent publication of my Memoir, Worcester's Winter Hill Farm, I am pleased to now have an Author's Page on Amazon.com featuring three of my books. When I refer someone to Amazon, I use a link to this page so readers can find the one book we may have been discussing, but they can also find my other books. Up to now, I had to send multiple links if I wanted to show them other titles.

For the record, I support independent bookstores, especially used bookstores as much as possible. I'm not against online book buying. But we must have balance.

I have a lot of updates to bring to this blog about new bookstores I visited recently and the books I'm writing now, but the writing has been keeping me very busy. So, I will work on my updates as soon as possible. In the meantime, please feel free to visit my Author's Page and let me know what you think.

Books Are Important To Me at NEB Publishing

Jefferson, MA - Books are important to me. I read a lot of books, mostly non-fiction, as entertainment in some cases, and for the education or information, they bring me in other cases. I also write books, magazine articles, blogs, and other publications because I have strong views on some things that I want to share.

I can also help you publish your book. Contact me if you want help with any aspect of publishing your book. Use the message link below.

I also have a fascination with bookstores, and in particular, for used book outlets. I really can't afford to spend current New York Times bestseller prices on a weekly basis. But, I can spend from $2 to $5 at my local library or one of my favorite nearby bookstores to satisfy my craving for something to read.

I have not really adopted the eBook method of reading. I seem to need the book in my hand, even though I have little trouble with newspapers online, blogs, Facebook, etc. I can handle the electronic stuff - short of reading a book. Not sure why that is; but, there it is.

I write two blogs. The original is The Books of Richard F. Wright, (which you are reading right now) and which is updated on a leisurely basis over time. The other blog, Life in Jefferson, is a bit more disciplined, as it tries to appear each week, chronicling, as it were, how I'm spending my time now that I'm retired formally from the corporate world. Both of these blogs test my determination to write continuously.

My other writing effort has been devoted to producing the three books that have been published under my independent publishing mark, NEB Publishing (New England Bookstore Publishing). These three books are available variously on the Barnes and Noble website and Amazon.com website. It's been exciting to have these books out in the public eye where people I don't know can take time to make a comment or make an inquiry. It's been a lot of fun. Now that I'm retired, I have more time to work on more projects, which is what I'm doing now.

My Author's Page on Amazon lists the books that are available as Paperback or eBook.

My next book has been in development for about a year. It's an investigative piece, with a strong political attack angle to it. I'm independently investigating what I view has been a miscarriage of justice, or if not that, miscarriage of fairness. I won't reveal any more here as I still have more interviews to conduct and the less known about specifics, the better it will be for me to get the job done.

Finally, on the Life in Jefferson blog, I routinely list the book or two I read that week and provide a small synopsis of the subject. If you want to read any of the books I mention, let me know. I own all of them. I own every book I ever read. My wife is expressing some concern about that, but that's a story for another day.
